Affymetrix-GeneChip

The Affymetrix Microarray Core (AMC)  provides RNA expression profiling and DNA Variation Analysis services using Affymetrix GeneChip® oligonucleotide arrays.

The Affymetrix Microarray Core (AMC) facility provides RNA expression profiling and DNA Variation Analysis services using Affymetrix GeneChip® oligonucleotide arrays.  DNA Variation services include genome wide SNP genotyping, copy number, and LOH detection.

The CBM Microarray Facility is operative since 2007.

Applications currently supported by our MicroArray Facility include:

Illumina HiScanSQ

The Illumina HiScanSQ is proprietary method of performing multiplex gene expression and genotyping analysis.

Microarray-based technologies

The facility allows the comparison of the genomes among different conditions, like healthy and cancer tissues

Microarray technologies allow the comparison of the expression of genes between healthy and diseased tissues, and between patients responding to a drug and those not responding to a drug. These experiments in turn ease the identification of new genetic and tumor-associated biomarker.
Gene Microarray Shared Resource renders services using the Affymetrix GeneChip® and Illumina Bead Array® technology platforms.
