Genomics

This Laboratory is equipped with Illumina and Affymetrix machines to perform expression profiling and genotyping assays using microarrays, as well as an open molecular biology laboratory for integrated research projects, for example within the field of non-coding RNA genes.

The laboratory offers services of high-throughput Genotyping of SNPs using three different technological platforms which fulfill all needs of state of the art studies.

Gene Expression Profiling allows the comparison of the expression of genes between healthy and diseased tissues, and between patients responding to a drug and those not responding to a drug. These experiments in turn ease the identification of new genetic and tumor-associated biomarker.
