Bioinformatics Services

The Bioinformatics Service supports the analysis of complex biomedical data deriving from advanced technologies of genomics and proteomics. We are particularly focused on the provision of customized solutions tackling the integration and analysis of complex datasets, as well as the analysis of data derived from other CBM services.

The Bioinformatics Laboratory acts as a catalyst for improving experimental design, data production and data analysis in highly integrative “-omics” projects. The combination of backgrounds in the team, spanning across various branches of biology as well as physics, mathematics and IT, and the presence of several “-omics” facilities at CBM allows it to tackle complex projects ensuring a robust IT approach on the one hand, complemented by a thorough understanding of the biology on the other hand. The laboratory integrates biostatistics and bioinformatics approaches, ensuring organization and analysis of complex datasets.

The bioinformatic team provide a complete solution for the analysis of microarray data, as well as support for the experimental design of the project

Next-Generation Sequencing Data Analysis

Analysis of Next Generation Sequencing data is a paramount challenge that require computationally-intensive workflows and scientific staff with very specific skills. At CBM we have a dedicated High Performance Computing platform and a team of specialized bioinformaticians that are able provide high quality services for the analysis and interpretation of NGS data.
