General

CBM grant office can provide project management and writing service, thanks to the experiences developed in different call proposals, spanning from european projects, to national and regional grants.

We propose a variety of solutions, covering different areas of biomedical research, from funding opportunities monitoring, to dissemination plan development, offering a valuable help to research centres and small and medium enterprises.

Moreover CBM is able to offer assistance throughout the different steps of the proposals:

Information and assistance to researchers on funding opportunities;
Proposal preparation: management, dissemination, administration, scientific part;
Liaison with funding organizations for regulation matters;
Negotiation;
Grant management;
Training and dissemination.

Our Projects:

FOCUS - Single Molecule Activation and Computing

FOCUS, will build a novel generation of biologically inspired molecular devices (MDs) based on the developments of new photonic tools. These photonic tools will use Plasmon Polariton technology, enabling focused light spots with a diam. 10 nm.

The ultimate goal of the project is the development of new products and services such as functional foods, personalized diet, supplements, nutraceuticals, kit for early diagnosis to enable the recognition of genetic variants and risk of new biomarkers for cardiovascular diseases.

The main objective of this project is to develop a research network including private and public institutions focused on the exchange of expertise in imaging, genomics and bioinformatics to be utilized in monitoring therapies and disease progression in severe allergic asthma (AA).

CERES

The synergy between the Community action and the regional impact of the CEI, as well as the financial resources made available by 5 partner institutions, provide the right framework for strengthening the CEI Research Fellowship Programme, of which CERES represents the natural evolution.

Parkinson Disease (PD) is the second most common progressive neurodegenerative disorder, affecting 1-2% of all individuals above the age of 65. We propose to apply a highly interdisciplinary approach to construct complex networks consisting of protein coding genes, non-protein-coding genes and cis-regulatory elements within dopaminergic neurons in the brain.

Il progetto Enerbio prevede l'attivazione di un sistema stabile di relazioni tra il sistema istituzionale e della ricerca e quello economico-imprenditoriale del Friuli Venezia Giulia e della Vojvodina, con specifico riferimento ai settori delle energie rinnovabili, delle produzioni energetiche da biomasse e dagli scarti delle lavorazioni del legno e, sul fronte biomedico, del legame intercorrente tra salute ed alimentazione (in particolare i c.d. functional food ).

Il progetto ha favorito la cooperazione interregionale nei settori dell'innovazione, della ricerca e dello sviluppo tecnologico ed imprenditoriale, promuovendo l’attivazione di relazioni bilaterali tra i sistemi istituzionali ed economici del territorio del Friuli Venezia Giulia e della Vojvodina (Serbia).

The aim of the project is to build a Regional Biobank accompanied by clinical, historical, environmental and biological data, for the identification of the main causes of multifactorial diseases and dissect gene-environment relationships.

The SingleMoleculeDetection (SMD) proposal will integrate on the same device an atomic force microscope (AFM) or an optical tweezer (OT), with Raman/SERS/IR/TeraHertz microscopy so to perform simultaneously - and in a dynamic way - force and spectroscopic measurements.

SynBIOsis project aims at putting together two research-driven clusters in the field covering the intersection of biotechnology/life science and ICT, more specifically, in the domains of bioinformatics, nano bioscience, computational biology and biomedicine.
